Anne James has excelled as a hairstylist and makeup artist, discovering her natural talent at an early age. Throughout high school and college, she honed her skills by styling the hair of friends and family.

Her journey led her to Neill Beauty Supply in Baton Rouge, where she immersed herself in all aspects of the business, even participating in hair conventions across Louisiana for 8 years.

As fate would have it, Anne crossed paths with Edwin Neill, a trailblazer in the beauty industry, who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue cosmetology and teaching. She later joined forces with Sam Brocato at another salon in Baton Rouge, where she made significant contributions in photography, teaching, and training both in the U.S. and Europe.

With her expertise growing steadily, she eventually co-founded James Halphen Hair Salon, now known as the esteemed Anne James Salon. Her exceptional skills are highly sought after in the film industry, commercial photo shoots, and even political campaigns.

The Anne James Salon is home to a group of talented and independent stylists who collaborate seamlessly to create a professional and welcoming environment for their clients.
